One to one computer training via Zoom

Web Safety Guru courses can be delivered via Zoom to customers throughout the UK.

All courses are available in Zoom format. It is recommended that you join the Zoom call on a PC or laptop. If you prefer to use Zoom on a mobile device or tablet, you should have a second device handy for examples and exercises. There may be certain occasions where I will share my screen with you. You will not have to share your screen with me, though there may be scenarios where you choose to do so.

Zoom courses tend to be slightly faster than Home Visits, and are a little cheaper. Each zoom session is intended to run in the region of 60-75 minutes.

The Email Masterclass was specifically designed to run on Zoom. In this course I will share my screen to show you examples of suspicious emails, without any risk to you. We'll go through exercises which identify specific signs of fraudulent emails.

The Social Media Masterclass was also designed to run on Zoom. However as Facebook tends to work differently on different operating systems and types of device, we will aim to go through examples on your own device.

How long do the courses last?

The main Web Safety Guru course may run over multiple sessions and the recommended duration for each session is 75 minutes. The Email Masterclass has been specifically designed to last 75 minutes and the Social Media Masterclass is also designed to be completed in a single session of about 75 minutes.

I'm a great believer in the idea that people will generally learn more in two 90 minute sessions than one 3 hour session. We will be covering a lot of topics and I do not wish to bombard customers with too much information in one go. Splitting the sessions up gives the customer more chance to practice what they've learnt and raise issues with me at the following session. I have set the price structure for all courses so that second and any subsequent sessions are cheaper than the first.
